The swift adoption of Artificial Intelligence in the media industry has sparked a transformative period, redefining journalism and media organizations. In this article, we explore the complex web of generative AI’s impacts on the media, with a particular focus on the legal consequences. As AI technologies become more prominent, questions arise about the legal challenges they face.
The key issue discussed in the article is the legal impact of the widespread use of AI in the media sphere, in particular, the role of journalists and media organizations.
The study aims to offer a comprehensive knowledge of the legal implications of AI in the media industry, with a special focus on the US, which is a leading market for AI in the media industry.
This paper seeks to answer a central question: How is AI revolutionizing the media industry, and what legal challenges does its integration into journalism raise, particularly regarding privacy, data protection, and liability for AI-generated content?
This paper adopts an analytical and descriptive approach to develop an actionable framework addressing the legal challenges arising from the integration of AI into the media industry, particularly with respect to privacy, data protection, and liability for AI-generated content.
